What is PLATEC and what does it do?
The Plateau Association of Tech Companies (PLATEC) is a membership-based organization that serves as the primary hub for technology companies, professionals, and stakeholders in Plateau State. We provide networking opportunities, advocacy, resources, and support services to help tech businesses thrive and contribute to the growth of Plateau's digital economy.
How is PLATEC governed?
PLATEC is governed by an elected Executive Committee consisting of a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, and other officers who serve two-year terms. The committee is accountable to the General Assembly of all members, which meets annually to review progress and set strategic directions.
What are the requirements to join PLATEC?
Membership requirements vary by category. Generally, businesses must be legally registered entities operating in the technology sector or providing tech-enabled services in Plateau State. Individual members must demonstrate professional involvement in technology fields. All applications are reviewed by our Membership Committee based on established criteria.
How do I renew my membership?
Membership renewal notices are sent 30 days before expiration. You can renew online through our secure portal, pay via bank transfer, or visit our office in person. Early renewals qualify for a 10% discount on annual fees
Are PLATEC events open to non-members?
While some PLATEC events are exclusive to members, many of our workshops, seminars, and networking events are open to non-members at standard rates. Member companies enjoy discounted or free access to all events. Check individual event listings for accessibility information.
How can I contribute content to the resource center?
Members are encouraged to share their expertise by contributing to our resource center. Contact our Content Coordinator at [email] with your proposed resource, whether it's an article, guide, case study, or template. All submissions undergo review for quality and relevance before publication.
